Updating the Books!

Welcome, lore-addicts! As you may know, Bloodblade is a rich universe with an in-depth story that spans politics, existential horror, social critique, martial arts, the occult and esoteric philosophies. Over the next few months, I will be making key improvements to the books available on Amazon. This month, the first book, Bloodblade Fight Club: Carnage will be edited to improve some prose and structuring and will have the new Fighterpedia addition added. I will also likely add some cosmetic changes to the book’s cover, although this may be relegated to other editions I release via Lulu or IngramSpark. Next month, Reckoning will be improved in the same way, and in September, Ruin will be touched up in the same way. From October on, I will focus on writing Ascension, which will finish the Bloodblade quadrilogy. Following that, Codex Satanica will be fully written and released in paperback and e-book form (e-books for all books will be available for download on the site as well as on Kindle) and this codex will cover the philosophical underpinnings of Bloodblade as well as characters’ psychological profiles. It’s meant to be an in-depth look at the universe and an addition to help people explore various themes and inspirations that went into the series.

What else? I’m planning on releasing Bloodblade: Origins next year, and this is a novel that contains sections for each of the more “main” characters in the series: Ming Hua, Spektra, Tamora, Gennadiy, Darian, Seon Mi, Bruiser, Eviscerator and the High Priest. Each section in this book will provide some pre-tournament backdrop that adds more lore to each character. And sometime in 2028-2029, if all goes well, I am planning on Bloodblade Rematch, which introduces some of the veterans from Bloodblade Fight Club as well as a newer generation of fighters. Yes! I’ve outlined Ascension to include room for sequels. Rematch will be a sequel series, three books planned, which will expand the universe.

Sometime in 2027-2028, me, my wife and a few others will be, with the advent of new animation tools, working on narrative scenes and a “story mode” for Bloodblade based on the quadrilogy. This is a long process and will take a couple years. Stay tuned for the re-releases of the books! -Ross K.
